Obverse
The obverse of the coin features the logo of the Bulgarian National Bank with the year ‘1879’ written on gilded ribbon. In circumference is the wording ‘БЪЛГАРСКА НАРОДНА БАНКА’ (BULGARIAN NATIONAL BANK), the nominal value of the coin ‘10 ЛЕВА’ (10 LEVS) and the year of issue ‘2006’.
Reverse
The reverse of he coin features a tile from the Letnitsa treasure (ІV c. BC) representing a bearded horseman holding a spear in his right hand; behind him is a horse's head in left profile and in circumference on gilded outer ring is the wording ‘СЪКРОВИЩАТА НА БЪЛГАРИЯ – ЛЕТНИЦА’ (THE TREASURES OF BULGARIA - LETNITSA).
