Obverse
Above - the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine with the semicircular inscription Національний банк України (National Bank of Ukraine), below - the coin issue year and face value 2010/ДВІ/ГРИВНІ (2010/two/hryvnias) and the National Bank of Ukraine Mint logo; in the center there is depicted the National Flag of Ukraine (the decoration element - enamel) within the conventionalized viburnum wreath.
Reverse
There is depicted the blank map of Ukraine against the uneven relief background symbolizing the arduous path to the country sovereignty; there are the legends: in the center, against the background of the map: 16 липня/1990 року (16 July/1990 year), above, the semicircular one: ДЕРЖАВНИЙ СУВЕРЕНІТЕТ УКРАЇНИ (State sovereignty of Ukraine) and below, the bow-shaped one: ДЕКЛАРАЦІЯ (declaration).
