At the top – the relief image of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus, in the center – the representation of the building of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, beneath – the year of issue; at the top – a circumferential inscription: РЭСПУБЛІКА БЕЛАРУСЬ (THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), at the bottom – 1 РУБЕЛЬ (1 RUBLE).
Reverse
In the center – the relief portrait of Alena V. Aladova, who was the director of the State Art Museum of the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic (1944 – 1977) (nowadays the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus), against the background of the fragment of a carved decorative frame; on the left – a circumferential inscription: А.В. АЛАДАВА (A.V. ALADAVA); and at the bottom – the year of birth and the year of death of Alena V. Aladava and a facsimile of her signature in the left–hand part.
