In the center - the Emblem of the Bank of Russia (the two-headed eagle designed by I.Bilibin, lower - the semicircular inscription - "БАНК РОССИИ" (BANK OF RUSSIA) framed by a circle of dots and inscriptions along the rim: at the top - "ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ" (TWENTY FIVE RUBLES), at the bottom - the date "2000", the letters to the left indicate the metal sign and the fineness, to the right - the fine metal content and the mint trade mark.
Reverse
To the left - a figure of a monk bent over an open chronicle, lower - elements of Internet Web-sites, to the right - a school boy at the table, behind him - some mathematical expressions: the arithmetical sum, the algebraic and differential equations, lower - a code of a computer program in the binary numeration and a globe. The inscription at the bottom along the rim - "РОССИЯ НА РУБЕЖЕ ТЫСЯЧЕЛЕТИЙ" (RUSSIA ON THE THRESHOLD OF MILLENNIUMS).
