The inscriptions along the rim framed by a circle of dots : at the top — «3 РУБЛЯ 1995 г.» (3 RUBLES 1995), at the bottom — «БАНК РОССИИ» (BANK OF RUSSIA).
Reverse
A view of the ancient Belgorod fortress, over it - the city's coat of arms, to the left - an ornament, to the right - a scroll with a seal and an inscription, the inscription at the top along the rim - "БЕЛГОРОД" (BELGOROD), below - the inscription in three lines - "1000 ЛЕТ СО ДНЯ ОСНОВАНИЯ" (1000TH ANNIVERSARY OF FOUNDATION).
