Birgitta's crown with 5 points, surmounted by a cross. Below the value. To the left of the crown is the letter "E" indicating the coin mint and to the right "H" is the first letter of the Riksbank Governor's surname: Lars Heikensten.
The Latin text of the legend is taken from a hymn of praise to the Middle Ages.
