Within circular geometric ornament – the relief of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus; beneath – year of issue, fine silver content and alloy standard; inscriptions along the rim – at the top: "РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), at the bottom: "ДВАЦЦАЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ (TWENTY ROUBLES).
Reverse
In the center – the relief of the obelisk "Hero City Minsk"; in the right–hand part – inscription in two lines: "3 ЛIПЕНЯ" (JULY 3); inscriptions along the rim: "ДЗЕНЬ НЕЗАЛЕЖНАСЦI РЭСПУБЛIКI БЕЛАРУСЬ" (INDEPENDENCE DAY OF THE REPUBLIC OF BELARUS) and "ДЗЕНЬ РЭСПУБЛIКI" (DAY OF THE REPUBLIC).
