The obverse of the coin features the BNB logo with the year ‘1879’ on the strip; in circumference, the inscription ‘БЪЛГАРСКА НАРОДНА БАНКА’ (Bulgarian National Bank) and at the bottom – the year of issue ‘2018’ and the nominal value ‘10 ЛЕВА’ (10 levs).
Reverse
The reverse of the coin features an image of the Old Elm Tree in Sliven and the inscription ‘СТАРИЯТ БРЯСТ – ХИЛЯДОЛЕТЕН СИМВОЛ НА СЛИВЕН‘ (The Old Elm Tree – a millennial symbol of Sliven) in circumference.
