Indian head capped with a war hat, Union stars
Reverse
Eagle on bundles with olive twigs. This coin and the 5 dollar one with same design are the only one with an incuse coinage. At the tiem, people didn't like the design and wrongly believed that they would carry germs. Few coins still exist with exceptional quality. Today, this design is recognized as an important step of the renewal in US minting. It is more popular thatn the Liberty type.
