Obverse
On the coin obverse of the coin within the frame of a baroque ornament decorated with seraphim's heads there is a depiction of the small National Emblem of Ukraine and a four line legend: УКРАЇНА, 10 ГРИВЕНЬ, 1998 (Ukraine/ 10/hryvnia/1998) and the designation of the metal- Ag 925, its fineness, and 31,1, the coin weight in fineness.
Reverse
On the coin reverse of the coin there are depicted the Assumption Cathedral destroyed in 1941 and its ruins, as well as the inscription: УСПЕНСЬКИЙ СOБОР КИЄВО-ПЕЧЕРСЬКОЇ ЛАВРИ XI СТ.(the Kyiv-Pechersk Assumption Cathedral of the 11th century)
