There is the Small Coat of Arms of Ukraine, the semicircular inscription УКРАЇНА (UKRAINE), and the image of Guanabara Bay with Sugarloaf Mountain rising above at its entrance and serving as a hallmark of the city of Rio de Janeiro; in the background of the bay there is the conventionalized inscription РІО-ДЕ-ЖАНЕЙРО (Rio de Janeiro), the year of issue - 2016, and the face value -2/ГРИВНІ (2 hryvnias); to the right on the smooth background there is the mark of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.
Reverse
Against the background of the outline of the statue of Jesus Christ on Mount Corcovado in Rio de Janeiro there is depicted a wavy green ribbon (pad printing) with pictograms representing different sports; below, on wavy lines there is the mark of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine (pad printing).
