Obverse
On the obverse of the 2 hryvnia coin there is a circle diagonally divided into four sectors symbolizing four elements: earth, air, water, fire; in the center of the circle there is a styled image of the Sun. To the left of the circle there is the Small National Emblem of Ukraine, to the right – the year of issue: 2006 as well as the indication of the metal, its fineness – Au 999.9, weight of the precious metal in fineness – 1.24; there are the circumferential inscriptions: НАЦІОНАЛЬНИЙ БАНК УКРАЇНИ (National Bank of Ukraine) above, 2 ГРИВНІ (2 hryvnias) below and the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2 hryvnia coin a styled image of Taurus with stars around it is depicted, and its Sign of Zodiac above it.
