Within the circular geometric ornament – the relief of the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Belarus; beneath – year of issue, fine silver alloy standard; inscriptions along the rim – at the top: "РЭСПУБЛIКА БЕЛАРУСЬ" (REPUBLIC OF BELARUS), at the bottom: "ДВАЦЦАЦЬ РУБЛЁЎ" (TWENTY ROUBLES).
Reverse
In the center – relief of the Coat of Arms of Volkovysk; inscriptions at the top - "ВАЎКАВЫСК" ("VOLKOVYSK") and in the center "1000" and "ГОД" ("YEARS"); at the bottom - relief of city's buildings.
