Above the portrait is inscription "THE CENTENARY OF HER MAJESTY QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER" and under is inscription "1900-2000" Portrait is surrounded by two pairs of trumpets joined by a musical scale and notes and entwined at the base by two rose garlands.
