The inscriptions along the rim divided by dots indicate the denomination of the coin "ДВАДЦАТЬ ПЯТЬ" (TWENTY FIVE ROUBLES) and the year of issue "2014", between them - the indication of the metal according to the D.I. Mendeleyev Periodic System of Elements, the purity, the Saint Petersburg mint trade mark and the fine precious metal content.

On the mirror field of the disc – the complex of buildings of the State Hermitage in Saint Petersburg in the perspective from above, to the right – the Alexander I Column and the facade of the General Staff Building, above in a round medallion – the portrait of Catherine II, to its left in a ring of vegetable ornament – the monogram of Empress and the inscription in two lines: "ЭРМИТАЖ 250" (HERMITAGE 250), upon periphery of the disc – a vegetable ornament.
