In the centre of the disc – the fragment of the Diorama "Storm of Sapun-Mountain on 7th May 1944" in Sevastopol, along the rim – inscriptions, divided by two dots, above: "КРЫМСКАЯ СТРАТЕГИЧЕСКАЯ НАСТУПАТЕЛЬНАЯ ОПЕРАЦИЯ" (CRIMEAN STRATEGIC OFFENCIVE OPERATION), below: "ВЕЛИКАЯ ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННАЯ ВОЙНА 1941-1945 гг."
