Reverse

Below against the background of the starry sky – the globe, above it – the first Artificial Earth Satellite, to the right, from below upwards along the rim – the stylized image of the near-earth orbit of the Satellite drawn by matted line with the date on it «The 4th of October 1957»; to the left – the inscription along the rim in two lines: «ПЕРВЫЙ ИСКУССТВЕННЫЙ СПУТНИК ЗЕМЛИ» (THE FIRST ARTIFICIAL EARTH SATELLITE).
