In the centre centre – image of the European pond turtle on a plant background; on the ring of the coin, the inscriptions "CARTEA ROŞIE", "BROASCA-ŢESTOASĂ-DE-BALTĂ","EMYS ORBICULARIS" are engraved in block letter.
