At center Mexico's coat of arms, surrounded by the lettering ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS. All that surrounded by each of Mexico's previous coat of arms and on the center-top spot the eagle found on the "Códice Mendocino" which is the first native coat of arms depicted in Mexico's history.
Reverse
On top the lettering "BICENTENARIO" (Bicentennial) under it the 1810 and 2010. At the center of the piece a Winged Victory. At right the lettering "200 Pesos" and Mexico's mint mark Mo. At left the lettering "1Kg ORO PURO" (0ne Kilogram Pure Gold)
