Description:
Obverse
The obverse bears the mint, date and name 'abbas in the central circle, stylistically derived from the contemporary Ottoman coins struck in the last few years before the Safavid conquest of Baghdad on 23 Rabi' I AH1033 (24 January 1624). This design was apparently used only in the immediate months after the conquest, replaced thereafter by the standard current Safavid design, type A#2636.3
Reverse
"Muhammad Nabi Allah" instead of "Muhammad Rasul Allah"
