In the central imprint we can appreciate the Vicecomodoro Marambio Base of the Argentine Antarctica, an image circled by the legend "REPÚBLICA ARGENTINA BASE VICECOMODORO MARAMBIO".
Reverse
In the upper arch and in two lines, you can see the legend of the event that is celebrated "AÑO POLAR INTERNACIONAL 2007-2008". The main field presents the logo of the Organization of the International Polar Year and the denomination "5 PESOS". In the exergue reads the year of coinage "2007".
